Site access problems & security settings
In order to take full advantage of CNET sites and services, including CNET Downloads, CNET News, and CNET TV, we require you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed along with the latest non-beta version of FireFox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. ADJUSTING YOUR TRUSTED SITES
Manually adding CNET's sites to your Trusted Sites list may help overcome a number of problems viewing our Web pages. Below is a recommended list of CNET sites that you can safely add to your Trusted Sites list followed by directions for Internet Explorer and Firefox.

WARNINGS WHEN CHANGING SITES
Internet Explorer may generate the following security warning while attempting to browse from one CNET site to another: "The current web page is trying to open a site in your Trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this?". The warning, known as "Zone Elevation Blocks" is caused by sites that have different security levels. It may also cause some Web pages to automatically fail when loading. To disable this message for CNET sites, simply add the site you are coming from and going to in your Trusted Site list as stated above.
If you are using Internet Explorer, the higher your general security settings are, the less website functionality will be allowed, and features that are considered less secure, such as downloadable files, may be completely disabled. Ensuring your settings are set to MEDIUM or MEDIUM-HIGH, may help overcome several website problems.
PAGE LOAD PROBLEMS
When you click on a CNET page link, if the page tends to hang indefinitely or load incorrectly, it could simply be the result of very high site traffic or a problem with one of our servers. In either case, you should try the link again later. However, if this problem continues to occur after 24-hours, then it may be site problem that needs to be investigated. If you meet the above browser requirements and the problem persists, please contact support with a link to the page that is not loading. Please also be sure to send your browser and system information.
Internet Explorer's high Internet security effort can sometimes lead to problems that may result in users having to adjust confusing security settings.
