If you’re having trouble streaming live TV, we may ask that you provide your local IP address or device ID to help resolve the issue. To locate this information, select your device below for instruction. Important: We can troubleshoot using public IP addresses only. If you’re using a private one (you’ll know if it starts with 10, 172 or 192), go to whatismybrowser.com, and scroll down to see your public IP address displayed on that page.

iPhone or iPad
To find your IP address:

  1. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi
  2. From the home screen, tap Settings, then Wi-Fi
  3. Locate the network your iPhone is connect to, then tap the circle next to the network name. A checkmark displays.
  4. Your IP address is located under “Forget this network.” On iPad, you’ll see it under the IPV4 address.


To find your device ID (your model and serial numbers will serve as your device ID):

  1. From your device’s home screen, tap Settings 
  2. Tap General, then About
  3. On the About screen, you’ll see your model number and serial number


Apple TV
To find your IP address:

  1. Go to the CBS All Access channel, and select Settings.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Network Info
  3. A pop-up box will display showing the IP address Apple TV is using.


To find your device ID:

  1. Launch the CBS All Access app, and select Settings.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Support, then Device ID
  3. Your device ID appears on this screen 


Android phone 
To find your IP address and Device ID:

  1. From your home screen, go to Settings
  2. Tap About Phone, then Status
  3. Under Status, you’ll see both your IP address and device ID 
 

Android tablet
To find your IP address:

  1. Select Apps on the main screen.
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Wireless & networks
  4. Select Select the network you are currently connected to under Wi-Fi networks.
  5. The IP address should be displayed with other network information.
 

Android TV
To find your IP address and Device ID:

  1. From the home screen, go to Apps
  2. Select CBS All Access 
  3. Select Settings > Device > App IP Address > Device ID

To find your device ID:

  1. Press Menu > Settings > About Phone > Status
  2. Your device ID appears on the Status screen

Note: There are also apps in Google Play that allow you to obtain your Device ID easily.


Amazon Fire TV or Kindle
To find your IP address and Device ID:

  1. From the home screen, select the CBS All Access App
  2. Select Support, then select IP address or select Device ID 


Chromecast
To find your IP address:

  1. Install the Google cast extension in your Chrome browser on a PC, Mac or Chromebook
  2. Click on the cast icon in the browser bar
  3. Select Options
  4. Select your Chromecast
  5. Click Edit
  6. IP address will be located in the bottom left-hand corner


Roku
To find your IP address and Device ID:

  1. Launch the CBS app
  2. Select Settings, then Support
  3. You’ll see your IP address, Device ID and app version on the Support screen


Portal TV
To find your IP address and Device ID:

  1. Launch the CBS app
  2. Select Settings, then Support
  3. You’ll see your IP address, Device ID and app version on the Support screen


LG TV
To find your IP address:

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote device and select the Network option.
  2. Select System Information. 
  3. Select Ethernet/WIFI connection. 
  4. Select Advanced, then select IP address. The existing IP address of your TV appears. It will be a private IP address if you are using router to connect to your ISP.


To find your Device ID

  1. Launch the CBS app
  2. Select Settings, then Support
  3. Your Device ID appears on the Support screen

 

Vizio TV
To find your IP address:

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote device and select the System option.
  2. Select System Information, then scroll down to the IP address. It will be a private IP address if you are using router to connect to your ISP.


To find your Device ID

  1. Launch the CBS app
  2. Select Settings, then Support
  3. Your Device ID appears on the Support screen 


Samsung TV
To find your IP address, choose from two options:

Option 1

  1. Press the Menu button on the remote device 
  2. Select the Network option
  3. Select Network Settings 
  4. Select IP settings option

Option 2

  1. Press the Menu button on the remote device
  2. Select Network Status


To find your Device ID

  1. Launch the CBS app
  2. Select Settings, then Support
  3. Your Device ID appears on the Support screen


Xbox
To find your IP address:

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, then go to Settings
  2. Select System Settings, then Network Settings
  3. Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so
  4. Select Configure Network


To find your Console ID (no Device ID)

  1. Go to Settings, then System
  2. Select Console Settings, then System Info
  3. Your Console ID appears on below the console serial number 


PlayStation 4
To find your IP address:

  1. Select Settings from the main menu, then Network
  2. Select the View Connection Status option. You should see the IP address listed on this page.


To find your MAC address (no Device ID)

  1. Select Settings from the main menu, then Network
  2. Select View Connection Status
  3. Your MAC address appears on this screen
