Advertising on

Our Website is a free service for both software publishers and site users; therefore, we depend heavily upon advertising revenue in order to sustain our business. To balance the needs of our advertisers with the user experience, we have crafted specific guidelines to which all of our advertisers must adhere. Specific rules for advertisers can be found by clicking on the CBS Interactive Site-Specific Creative Standards page.

One of the more frequent complaints we receive is that some advertisements make it difficult to locate the actual download link for the file on As we evolve and revise our guidelines for advertisers, this issue will certainly be a consideration.

If you have questions about a service or product that you purchased through a sponsored advertisement, please contact the third party company directly. You will be able to get their contact info through their Web site or by contacting your credit card company's customer support team.

The sponsored products found on our search pages are managed by Google Adwords and are not affiliated with CBS Interactive or its publishers and merchants. Like other Web sites, we provide sponsored search advertisements from partners such as Google and Yahoo for products that may not have been submitted directly to our site. These advertisements are marked as "Sponsored" to distinguish them from official listings. These sponsored advertisements appear as part of search results from a third-party search engine. If you have a problem with a Google sponsored ad and would like to file an official complaint with Google Adwords, please send your complaint to, and report the advertiser at the following link. Please also notify Support by following the directions listed below.
