How do I stop web browser notifications or popups on my screen?

You can disable TV Guide site notifications with the steps below relevant to your desktop browser or mobile web browser:

Mobile device:

  1. On your iOS or Android device, open the Chrome app.
  2. Go to the website you don’t want to receive notifications from.
  3. To the left of the web address, tap Lock.
  4. Next to "Notifications", tap the Down arrow and choose "Block"
  5. If you are receiving notifications on your computer, please follow the instructions below for each of the browsers listed below:

Via Google Chrome:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click on the three dots and then go to Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Privacy and Security", click Content Settings.
  5. Click Notifications.
  6. Look for in the "Allow" list
  7. Click on the 3 dots to the right of and select "Block"

Via Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click on the Menu icon in the top right corner, and choose Options
  2. On the left column, click Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll down to the "Permissions" section. 
  4. Go to Notifications and click Settings.
  5. Look for in the list and on the right of it there is a Status column with a drop down menu to either Allow or Block.
  6. Choose "Block" for
  7. Click the "Save changes" button on the bottom right corner of the page
